In July 2020, Advanced Smart Mobility Co. Ltd. have participated in the project titled “Research and Development/Demonstration Project for Implementation of an Advanced Autonomous Driving System and MaaS” of AIST. In this field operation test, the commercial feasibility and practicability of mid-sized buses with autonomous driving systems will be verified. Along with the review of autonomous driving technology in various environments, the evaluation will be conducted not only for improvement of the safety and efficiency, but also for the cooperation technology with infrastructure such as traffic signals. The service technology in the various scenes of autonomous driving bus, and the acceptability of users and its business feasibility will be carefully studied through the project.
